California Trip!
So, I'm finally posting about our trip that we took back in OCTOBER! We had such a good time! It was so good to have the WHOLE familly together. We stayed right across the street from Disneyland, and spent three days at the park! The weather was beautiful. I love California ( especially as I look outside at the snow falling)

Dylan's Birthday!

I can't believe that Dylan is 7! It has gone by so fast. He's such a good kid. I am so proud of him. He had a great Birthday weekend. His official birthday is Sept. 12th! I will never forget being in the hospital on 9/11. I was so scared, as we all were. I thought maybe the world as we know it was ending, and in a way it was. It was such a sad time, yet one of the happiest days of my life. I can't imagine my life without Dylan, or Carson. He ended up coming to us at 3:00 in the morning on the 12th after 30 hours of being in labor!!!! I know......but it really sounds a lot worse. I had an epidural most the time and really didn't feel much. Just a lot of emotions that day!
We opened presents on Friday, and had a big party on Saturday at the local bowling alley. It still looks the same as when I was a kid and went to bowling parties there, which is kind of cool. It has a lot of charm. So...here's a few pictures from the weekend. It was really hard to get a GOOD picture at the party, with all of the kids. They were too busy to sit still. Thank goodness for my awesome husband, sister and Paul that helped out so much with 13 kids. It was a little crazy!
This first picure is with his new Indiana Jones hat on. He almost slept in it that night. So cute! He also has been wanting a Nintendo DS, so he was so to finally get one. Here's also a picture of the boys drinking out of their scary halloween goblets that nana got them ( of course).

First Day of School!!

What a mix of emotions! Today my Dylan went to First Grade! Where has the time gone? It's been weird to have him gone all day, but I know he was sooooo ready. He's the oldest in his grade, and was really ready to go last year. When I asked him what he was most excited for he said "lunch time." (that's my boy) I can't believe how much more you can accomplish in a day with just one child at home, but I sure can't wait for that bus to pull up!

Fishin at Jordanelle

We took the boys fishing on Saturday. The boys had a great time. My dad kept catching big ones, and poor Chris only got a baby, but right before we were getting ready to leave Chris and Dylan reeled in a big one, but my card was full on my camera and I didn't get a picture of it, only on my cell phone, so hopefully I can figure out how to get the pictures off my phone onto the computer. Carson wasn't too into the fish. He just wanted to throw rocks into the water and play with the worms. It was a good evening.

Birthday Girl!!!!
Well....I've been quite a slacker when it comes to blogging! It's been a busy summer, with
baseball games, family parties, a trip to Texas ( for pictures see Ashley's blog) yard work, and just keeping up with two active little boys. I'm determined to be a better blogger!
Tonight we celebrated my mom's birthday! We all went to dinner with NO KIDS. It was so nice to have some adult conversation ( we missed you Ash and Collins) I love my mom so much! She's such a good mother and grandmother.I've learned a lot from her example. She's amazing and such a beautiful person inside and out. Happy Birthday!

Spring Soccer

It's that time of year again, it's Spring (well kind of) and the kids are playing soccer. Chris is coaching again, and he's so good with the kids. Dylan's one of the oldest kids this year and he's playing really well. He's about a foot taller than some of the little ones. I had a parent ask me if he was really six? Yes, I"m one of those parents this year with the big kid that runs over the little ones. I remember lastyear being a little irritated with the big kids knocking down my little guy and now my boys one of the big ones...it's funny how that works.
Legos, Legos and more legos.....

This is pretty much Dylan's life right now! He LOVES his legos. He is so good at building and creating things. He puts together sets that are for ages 12and up and has done for a couple years. He's a pretty amazing boy! His dream is being in Lego magazine. So, we're going to send these creations in and see what happens. This is a Speed Racer set and in case you can't see he drew a race track on the paper.
Happy Birthday!

Chris celebrated his Birthday on April 22nd. My mom bought him his favorite banana cream pie( since he's not really a cake person) and I bought him a coconut cake( because he does like coconut) and (I just like cake.) His dad was in town from Florida, so he got to see him and Lois , Kevin and gramdma. Lois brought over some yummy fried chicken like his grandma used to make. His mom and Paul sent a beautiful card and gift card to his favorite place Bestbuy ( of course) It was a great day. We all love him so much! He's the best dad and husband that I could ever ask for. He does so much to make sure we are taken care of. He celebrated by coaching Dylan's soccer game that night! What a Dad! Thanks for being so awesome!

Spring Break in St. George!
We decided in January that we would definitely be heading South for Spring Break this year. It was a much needed trip after the winter we had. The boys were pretty much content hanging out at the pool all day. Nana and Papa came down too. It was great to have them there, and it was nice to have a shopping partner. We appreciate them and all of their help and patience with our kids. We got to see some old friends of ours from Midway. Kim, if you read this it was so good to see you and your daughter and to talk about old times.

Bowling Party!
St. Patrick's Day!

It's tradition in the Farrell Family to celebrate our heritage every St. Patricks day with a traditional Irish dinner. It was even more special this year because of our parents trip to Ireland. I am so grateful for the sacrifice my grandfather made as a young boy to leave everything he had to come to America for a better life. Here are some pictures of our Irish boys, who were even lucky enough to have a leprechaun visit them......

Oh, Syd! How we miss you.......
So, we were so happy that the Jones family got to come out for Christmas. It was so great to be with them. Little Sydney is the cutest thing ever! She has got the sweetest personality. She is so adorable. I could go on and on. She's a little tired in this picture it was Christmas Eve. The kids were getting worn out from all of the excitement. We miss Ash and Collins too! Hope to see you guys soon.
This is for Ash!
Watch out Carson's two!
I have to say that the phrase "terrible two's" is really hitting home with us lately. Carson was the sweetest, happiest little baby......and has now had a major personality change. I swore for a month that he was just sick! He did have a round of ear infections and the stomach flu, but the Dr. Dave has assured us that he is perfectly healthy now...so why???? no sleeping, not eating much except Cheetos. He has his sweet moments that I love, but he is one active, crazy and toddler right now...boy, did I forget. But, this is a classic picture of Carson right now. He's really showing the camera his new "attitude." He will never look at me when I try to take his picture. He knows exactly what he's doing.
Is that Harry?
One of the boys....(yes, even Carson when he's in the mood) favorite things to do is dress up. It's a daily ritual with Dylan. I never know if he's going to be Jack Sparrow, Darth Vader, Anniken Skywalker, or Harry Potter...oh, and our new favorite Indiana Jones..which I have to say brings back a lot of childhood memories for me. So, today the character of choice was Harry Potter/spiderman??
Karate Kid!

Welcome to our family's blog. We had a great Summer. I've posted some pictures of our trip to Aspen and San Diego. We're really busy with these two active little boys. It's such a busy, but fun time of life for us. Dylan started school and is doing so well, and Carson is busy trying to be just like his big brother! I'll be posting some more Halloween pictures soon.
